Join The Ministry for a talk with MOCCA director David Liss who will explain his newest curatorial effort, an exhibition that examines ways in which society exists within our built environment. The show (titled Empire Of Dreams) features work by some of Toronto's most cutting edge contemporary artists. David will explain how the works in the show explore our interactions with architecture and our built surroundings. David's fun, casual manner will help demystify the way Contemporary art can be intimidating when it is not accompanied by clear explanation. Join us for a beer and a private tour of the exhibition. The mandate of MOCCA (Museum of Canadian Contemporary Art) is to exhibit, research, collect, and promote innovative art by Canadian and international artists whose works engage and address challenging issues and themes relevant to our times. MOCCA is committed to providing a forum for emerging artists that show particular promise and to established artists whose works are considered to be ground-breaking or influential.
